I fall asleep in the full and certain hope that my slumber shall not be broken;
And that though I be all-forgetting, I shall not be all forgotten,
But continue in the thoughts and deeds of those I loved . . .
Samuel Butler.
In the thoughts and deeds of those who loved you as well - it has been a privilege to share your life these last three years - to eat your apples and your rhubarb - to heed your wisdom - to walk beside you in your grief and the dwindling of life. It is good to walk up the lane and to hear your voice - and Lizzie's too - even yet.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
